Leadership Logan Visits Logan County Schools back button

Logan County Schools recently hosted local business men and women at Ralph R. Willis Career and Technical Center to learn more about the county’s education system.

The event was a part of the Logan County Chamber of Commerce’s new professional development program, Leadership Logan, which focuses on different businesses and industries in the area.

During their visit, Leadership’s class members learned about the simulated workplace at RRW before touring the school’s facilities and seeing the many hands-on activities and student projects. Guests were also given a demonstration from the school’s robotics team.

Following the tour, a panel discussion was held to allow class members to talk to representatives from Logan County Schools about important issues concerning the school system. Topics discussed included the district’s biggest challenges, major improvement projects, and preparing students to be career-ready after graduation. At the end of the session, the RRW ProStart students provided lunch for the guests.
