Logan County School would like to inform you that beginning in the 2016/2017 school year, 7th and 12th graders will have new school immunization requirements and will be required to show proof of these immunizations prior to school entry
These include Tdap and meningococcal vaccines, which will protect them against vaccine-preventable diseases such as bacterial meningitis and pertussis.
Please make sure your 7th and 12th grader has received and provided documentation of these immunizations prior to the start of the school year.
If you don’t get the immunizations before the first day of school, then students will be denied entry.
You can go to your primary care physician, Logan County Health Department (if you don't have a primary care physician or they don't carry the vaccine),
Logan Wildcat School Based Health Center or Chapmanville Tiger School Based Health Center.
DO NOT WAIT TO THE LAST MINUTE...
LAST YEAR, ALL CLINICS IN LOGAN AND SURROUNDING COUNTIES
WERE OUT OF ONE OF THE VACCINES AND KIDS COULD STILL NOT COME TO SCHOOL!!!
Please share this message.
